FAITH AND TRUST NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL PROFILE
Introduction
Giving hand Network is a social evangelistic Network in Uganda. Having the names adopted from the Bible, from acts 20:35 as our basis of faith in meeting people’s lives in kingdom of God. We are situated in Bulamu Zone –Gayaza, wakiso district while operating also in Eastern Uganda with the aim of reaching the whole identified communities with the social services that can glorify Jesus Christ.
It is more blessing to Give than to receive, let us all have giving Hand to the needy out of your hard work,and let us network to bless others.
School project
We are Faith and Trust Nursery and primaryschool founded by Giving Hand Network basing at Kampala as our mission head office, Uganda. The project directors reports to local project committee which reports to Board of directors chaired by Executive Director of GIHANET.
BACKGROUND
We have a rich history , but we shall only high light few historical events, that through hardship and pain we managed to get our burning burden at heart of helping vulnerable children answered. It was during the time of big drought in the area of Gayaza in 2009 that kawuma Florence and kagoya Esther came up with the idea that immerged into a serious concern to some few parents and guardians who motivated us to initiate this noble project in Gayaza –Bulamu Zone in Wakiso district .
We started the school as Nursery and infant totaling to a number of 35 children , whereby 15 were boys and 20 girls under a rented wooden structures . up to now this year 2015 , we managed to save on our mega resources to buy a new site , whereby we are still under construction of two blocks for 6 classrooms and toilets . We have a good number of 10 teaching staff and 1 non-teaching staff.
The ministry of education is consent with what is being done and they recommended us to operate as they are still in preparations of legal documents. However the founding body is a Christian organization under the names of GIVING HAND NETWORK.
GIHANET(GIVING HAND NETWORK) has been in cooperated with the ministry of Justice as a company limited by grantee to serve local communities and churches as charitable organization in giving a hand of help to needy members through various ways and networking with funding world to reach their goals of helping to the grass root and voiceless people in the Ugandan communities .
GIHANET –VISION: To network a sustainable and self-reliant society that cancause transformation for better standards of living.
GIHANET –MISSION : To build a network that will promote development in our local communities through various programs in education, medical, agriculture and other economic projects .
GIHANET- OBJECTIVE

To constitute a permanent organization for investing in the population of Uganda by way of strategic alliance to share the love of God , church Planting and approaches for resources accessibility to fight poverty through provision of needed credit facilities, productive inventories, capacity buildings of grassroots producers as well as marketing the products world wide through fair trade and alternative business establishments while ensuring that financial and material benefits thereof shall be widely distributed amongst participants and not resulting in the enrichment of only a few persons .

To respond to needs of entrepreneurship groups , associations, clubs , churches and entities whose focus are on self –help and self –reliance with proven viable business ideas of social relevance whose goods may comfortably be marked in the global alternative trading marketplaces, including but not limited to handcrafts, arts, cultural items , but also garments , gift and independence and greater responsibility for resulting in the enrichment of only a few persons .

To establish successful Christ centered village schools, early childhood learning programs, day care centers and or orphanages either directly or through partnership with local church communities and organizations.

To undertake comprehensive programs of protecting , support and care for underprivileged children and youth orphans and other vulnerable children by way of direct intervention, mobilization, advocacy and promotion , documentation, research , assessment ,monitoring and evaluation includes collaboration and linkages in respect of education sponsorship , shelter , food ,clothing and upbringing in society in line with Uganda’s national standards .

To support women in Uganda in their fight against poverty while developing local cultural economic and social identities with ventures economic and otherwise that seeks to and is designed to improve the living conditions of individual , member groups, families, churches and participating communities ,

To promote international learning, exchange events participation, institution and agency/ Village School, church partnership and sister community programs between and among those in Uganda and counterparts in the United States of America or elsewhere in the world as well as to assist whenever necessary to negotiate and effect joint working arrangements and Memorandum of Understandings in those projects.

To establish vocation, technical and business training programs and health centre facilities for communities for the benefit of needy members of society among others in effort to eliminate poverty, illiteracy and diseases.

To provide access to scholarships or other means, to provide opportunities for underprivileged youth young adults with leadership potential to access vocational training or otherwise further their education.

To supply tools, resources and funding technical possibilities and opportunities needed for organized artisans and producers in Uganda for purposes of local micro-enterprises surport programs and to assist the people and communities to creating a sustainable future with sustainable project development ranging from product idea development, designs, production, quality control, marketing and bradbding for local and overseas buyers for items like garments, bead workers , matching pottery and ceramics, candle stocks.

To protect and conserve the environment through natural resource sustainable utilization, biodiversity conservation activities , environment engineering promotion, proper waste collection and treatment , recycling , re-use and / or projects program’s and policy advocacy.

To promote sustainable energy conservation, consumption and development alternatives by pooling resources and experiences towards the protection and rational user of natural resources such as drilling wells, improving water catchments and other methods.

To boost food production and contribution towards achievement of food security by engaging in and assisting at various levels all those involved in farming and agribusiness activities including organic fertilizers and food production.

To act as conduits and avenues for transferring US Technologies and services to Uganda particular in agribusiness , energy and environment, information technology and health for long term sustainable economic development.

To work in close partnership with private voluntary organization, indigenous organization, education and training institutions, American businesses, church and charities as well as other agencies including fundraising by way or grant , products sales, contribution and donations from foundations and other donors world wide.

To promote joint ventures, expand business , cultural institutional technological and industrial relations and cultivate better understanding between and among persons.

To set up and maintain data bank of all Albino human rights and legal literature.

To avail such literature as aforementioned to all partners and associates in order to facilitate sector wide awareness of the contemporary human rights and legal positions and provisions on Albinism.

To lobby and advocate and make consider suggestions for the reformation of certain laws that can enhance Albino human rights and justice.

To advocate for and advice government agencies on the implementation of government international obligations on the protection of minorities.

To coordinate and cooperate with other agencies on Albino rights and justice.

To source information from other countries about the successful adoption of positive actions and to ensure awareness in Uganda about such best practices.

To procure and hold any needed assets including land and vehicles, which are needed to conduct our NGO activities directly or supporting our partner NGOs/CBOs.

To Advance these and allied objectives and make them known to the public by way of all kinds of communication including print media like books, newsletters, brochures , pamphlets, leaflets, booklets as well as electronic social media including radio , television broadcasting films , video recordings , slides , blogging , web site promotion , as well as internal technology , plus cultural aspects such as drama , festivals , parades and other forms of population campaigns to pass the messages across.

To sensitize the public on the nature and relevance of the wide ranging penal and civil provisions enhancing basic human rights and in particular minority rights.
SCHOOL AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

Educating children with all the support, functionaries/activities.

Training children to become self-sustainable through seminars, trips and others.

Creation of nature and good relationships amongst the teachers and the administrators and providing all scholastic materials and scientific equipment’s to the school.

Advise parents and pupils at all levels on matters relating to choice of careers and institutions, giving educational programs and technical education.

To provide children with vocational practical skills.

To share ideas and help to financially develop one another
Situation status of the school project:
We are a growing private school currently serving one the poor local communities in Gayaza in Kampala, but growing. We have over 220 children both orphans and poor of the poorest. We are in gayaza trading center in wakiso district next to Kampala city. We have constructed primary school buildings but we are struggling to raise money for the roofing namely: iron sheets, nails, timber and cement in time. Economy of our country is falling but we are moving on.

Project Achievement
Old site view:
We are currently operating in the rental structures which is very costly depending on the income of the school . However we have been managing to provide a better education to the children from the community.

New site view:
Through our mega resources , we have been able to save and buy land, whereby on that land we have come up with a permanent structures which is waiting for roofing .
Prayer request
We need at least $15,000 to complete the project. Any support is welcome. We have already spent over $7000 through internal rising, to buy land and start structural walls.
We will reach our goal on our own but may take longer.
